Initial Announcement
Ernie Dorrill Class
The AFC is planning to have Ernie Dorrill teach one or more classes
probably in February 2010 on the techniques he demonstrated at the
recent AFC Annual Conference.
Your response to this announcement is needed to determine how many of
you are interested in a 5 day class at Tannehill, wild guess cost
$200 or less to make a simple project, maybe a base for a candle
stand, using several of the techniques demonstrated by Ernie. We
expect to have between 10 and 20 students in each class and you will
have to bring treadle hammers, forges, torches, anvils and vises. Two students will
share a set of treadle hammer, forge, anvil and vise.
Send an e-mail to Clay@tirehammer.com, put "Ernie Dorrill Class" as
subject (or call 256 558-3658 ONLY if you don't have e-mail).
Indicate which equipment you can bring: treadle hammer, forge, anvil
or vise. This is only to indicate your interest in the classes so we
can determine how many classes to schedule.
In early January, you will be requested to send in
a down payment to reserve a place in the class. See next Bits issue for
tools info.
